Before you begin any application, you want to make sure that your skin is cleansed and exfoliated. This gives a nice surface to work with and will actually give you the full benefits of mineral makeup & traditional makeup. If you have dry skin, you will need to apply a moisturizer before you begin. If you have oily skin, then a moisturizer is not needed unless you prefer one or have aging skin. You also want to make sure that you tone your skin as well, this is a very important step that is often over looked. You will see the difference it will make when applying your mineral powders.
Concealer- First begin with your concealer. Use a small brush to apply to problem areas & blend. Perfect for hiding acne, scars, blemishes, age spots, etc.
Foundation- Tap a small amount into lid & swirl your brush into it. Tap the brush bristles & allow access to fall into lid. Firmly buff powder onto cleansed skin and blend well to disperse pigments evenly all over your face. You may need to apply several layers until you get the coverage you desire. When buffing you need to use a firm touch, & in a circular motion, blend minerals around on the cheeks, jaw line & all over nose area.
Finishing powder/Veil- Tap a small amount into lid & swirl brush into it, tap off excess & buff. Aids in oil absorption & gives you that photogenic "finished" look. You can use this either after foundation application or after your blush application. Whichever you prefer.
Eye Shadow- Simply dip into color of choice & tap off excess, apply to eye lids in short strokes until desired color is achieved.
Blush/Bronzer- Our products are so pure, just a small amount will wake up a tired complexion. Place brush against sifter holes & tap jar so that some minerals get on the bristles. Tap gently & brush on cheeks & cheekbones & blend. The only mistake you can make is to use too much, these are very strong pigments so only a tiny amount is needed.
All Eye Shadows can double as an eyeliner and can also be applied wet for a dramatic look.
Setting Spray should be spritz all over your face after applying your mineral powders, this last step will keep your powders in place and hydrate your skin all day. A few spritz is all you need!
If you have dry skin, apply a moisturizer before your concealer and/or foundation application. If you have oily skin, then silk powder or silk undercover primer is recommended and is great for oil control, it reduces oil and shine... apply with a brush before your makeup application.
Applying "stay put" eye shadow primer: apply a small amount to eyelid and let dry briefly, but not completely & apply desired eye shadow shade.
Mineral makeup has endless possibilities so be creative & give yourself a new beautiful look without the mask & irritation from traditional makeup.
